It’s back! The downtown farmer’s market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 am until sell-out all season. Find fresh, local produce, plants, meats, baked goods, and so much more. The farmer’s market is a fun Saturday morning activity for family and friends, as well as a great place to grab some fresh groceries for your mid-week meal.
Downtown Bunny Hop
EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 15, 10 am- 12 pm
Downtown Lee’s Summit
Hop in and join the Easter Bunny for a parade down 3rd Street. Children and families can line up at City Hall Plaza starting at 9:45 am. The parade will then hop west down 3rd Street to Howard Station Park where the Bunny Ears and Easter Hat Contest will be held. Prizes will be awarded by judges to their favorite pairs of bunny ears and Easter hats! The kids can even get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
Cellular Cenes
EVENT DATE: Friday, April 28, 7 pm- 10 pm
Red Door Wine Store, 229 SE Main St
Cellular Cenes (presented by the Summit Theatre Group) is a street performance romance told in 5 scenes, set on the streets of Downtown Lee’s Summit, but the audience doesn’t know the next location until they get a text. The audience has a chance to visit each location before the next scene starts. There will be one performance at 7 p.m. beginning at Red Door Wine Store. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to check in, entrance fee will be $10. The entire production lasts about an hour and ten minutes, so throw on your walking shoes and enjoy a show while you get a little exercise and fresh spring air.
