Spring Open House
EVENT DATE: Friday & Saturday, March 2nd at 10am-3rd at 5pm
Downtown Lee’s Summit
The first weekend in March will be full of spring shopping in Lee’s Summit’s historic downtown. merchants will feature their new items and customers can enter to win a gift card from each participating store. Special Attractions will include live music, a cigar event, brewery tours, and more! Visit downtownls.org for more information on participating stores and special attractions.
Community Blood Drive
EVENT DATE: Monday, March 5th 11am-4pm
Howard Conference Room (2nd floor) of Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green Street
Donate a little bit of time and blood to help those in our local hospitals. The City of Lee’s Summit partners with the Community Blood Center, Fire Dept, and Police Dept five times per year to host this amazing event. Visit http://www.esavealifenow.org and enter the code “cityleessummit” to sign-up for the “Caring…It’s in our Blood” event. Donors must be in good health, weigh a minimum of 115 lbs, and be at least 17 years of age (or 16 yrs. with parental consent).
5th Annual Blarney Brew-Off
EVENT DATE: Saturday, March 17th at 1pm-5pm
Downtown Lee’s Summit
This St. Patrick’s Day, come join us for an afternoon of sampling over 100 home-brewed beers, enjoy live entertainment, and food from Jazzy B’s food truck. Everyone at the event must be 21 or older–no pets and no children are allowed in this event.
Humane Society Paint Fundraiser
EVENT DATE: Sunday, March 25th, 4pm-7pm
GOT Art Gallery, 18 SW 3rd St
Support homeless pets with an evening of wine and painting. Artist Ashley Corbello will guide you step-by-step as you create a pop art painting of your pet. The $15 ticket price will be donated to the hosting animal rescue, HELP Humane Society. This event is BYOB, so bring any snacks and beverages you want.
