Downtown Lee’s Summit
Summit Art Festival is a free, three-day festival of fine arts that features over 90 local, regional, and national artists. Visitors can enjoy a blend of art, local music, food, and beverage. The festival will include Lee’s Summit R7 Student Art Pavilion and T-Mobile Kids Zone offering hands-on children’s art activities. There will be something for the entire family to enjoy.
Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival
EVENT DATE: Saturday, Oct. 7, 10 am-5 pm; Sunday, 11 am-5 pm
Missouri Town 1855 – 8010 E. Park Rd.
This annual fall event has been a family tradition for thousands over the past 42 years. Interpreters bring the antebellum living history site to life with the music, dance, games, crafts, and delicious foods of 1855. A full-service food court offers traditional festival delights. Enjoy a hay wagon ride and watch sorghum harvesting, round and boiled to form a syrup. Piping hot cider, fragrant wood fires, and unique architecture make this an ideal family outing! Admission is $7 for adults; youth 5-13 and Seniors $4, and under 5 FREE.
Chilifest
EVENT DATE: Saturday, Oct. 14, 10 am-1 pm
Between 2nd & 3rd St in front of City Hall
Teams will be competing in the following divisions: CASI, Homestyle, wings, and salsa. For $5 you can sample all of the entries. Proceeds are used to support local non-profits in Lee’s Summit. The event is co-hosted by Lee’s Summit Sunrise Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Downtown Lee’s Summit.
Dogtoberfest
EVENT DATE: Saturday, Oct. 22, 10 am-4 pm
Kemper Outdoor Education Center – 8201 Jasper Bell Rd, Blue Springs, MO
Bring your dog, shop great vendors, watch demonstrators, enjoy a costume contest, and other fun games! Hike the trail with other dog families on the Tails for Trails dog walk, one of the most popular events. Come and visit with our wonderful local shelters and look into adopting a puppy or dog of your own. Admission is free, but we would like to encourage everyone to bring a can or small bag of dog food which will be donated to local shelters.
